A survey of 1 to 17-year-old children left out of schools was conducted under the joint auspices of the Public Education Department Vijayapura and Saptagiri Foundation Vijayapura. Parents of children under 18 years of age were made aware of education, and 872 children were re-admitted to school.

Collaboration with the Department of Kannada and Culture
In collaboration with the Department of Kannada and Culture, Saptagiri Foundation, Vijayapura, has been actively participating in various cultural programs, including Yuva Sourabha, through its skilled artistic team. The foundation has played a leading role in promoting traditional art forms and preserving the rich cultural heritage of the region while addressing societal disparities through its initiatives.
The foundation’s contributions extend beyond mere performances; they focus on raising awareness about the importance of cultural diversity and unity. By organizing folk art workshops, traditional dance and music festivals, and interactive sessions on Kannada literature and history, Saptagiri Foundation has successfully ignited a sense of pride and belonging among the youth.

Under the joint aegis of the Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports and Saptagiri Foundation, Vijayapur, several training programs were organized for rural athletes from local monasteries. These sessions focused on enhancing skills in various sports and educating participants about the benefits of sports for personal and community development. Through these efforts, the Foundation has not only revived traditional sports but also fostered enthusiasm and vitality among school students.
Saptagiri Foundation has implemented a range of initiatives aimed at nurturing young talent, promoting physical fitness, and encouraging sportsmanship at the grassroots level. The programs have included:
Workshops on Traditional and Modern Sports: Reintroducing traditional games alongside modern sports to preserve cultural heritage while embracing global trends.

Agricultural Department
Details of survey and activities under the joint auspices of Deputy Director Agriculture Department Vijayapura and Saptagiri Foundation Vijayapura.
Under the joint auspices of Deputy Director Agriculture Department Vijayapura and Saptagiri Foundation Vijayapura, training in soil fertility, training in mixed pulses, and a survey of pulses grown by farmers in all taluks of Vijayapura district were conducted. Additionally, farmers’ opinions were collected.
In these activities, more than 1,500 farmers’ opinions were collected, and over 10,000 farmers were made aware.
Panchayati Raj Department
Details of the program under the joint auspices of Zilla Panchayat Vijayapura and Saptagiri Foundation Vijayapura
Awareness workshop on the Constitution of India for students in Vijayapura Samyuktashray of Saptagiri Foundation and District Panchayat for six months. In this program, 25,000 students and 2,487 teachers participated; more than 2,000 female teachers participated in the workshop and awareness programs for students in all schools under the Gram Panchayat of Vijayapura district. Even the Gram Panchayat development officers, staff, president, members, and villagers contributed to making this program successful.
Social Welfare Department
- Details of the activities undertaken under the joint auspices of Social Welfare Department Vijayapura and Saptagiri Foundation Vijayapura
- In association with Social Welfare Department Vijayapura and Saptgiri Foundation Vijayapura, Assyrian Eradication Discussion Forum programs were organized in all the taluks of the district in about 40 On this occasion, more than 10,000 thousand public of the village, Deputy Director, Assistant Director participated.
- More than 2000 students of the hostel were health checked and ID cards were distributed.
Department of Labour
Under the joint initiative of the Department of Labor and the Saptagiri Foundation, Vijayapura, a comprehensive program was organized to identify children under the age of 14 working in various factories and industries and to reintegrate them into schools. The program also included awareness seminars for parents to emphasize the eradication of child labor practices.
This initiative was successfully conducted across 13 taluks of Vijayapura district. As part of the program, surveys were carried out to identify child laborers, and interactive sessions were organized to educate parents and guardians about the long-term benefits of education and the adverse effects of child labor on a child’s physical and emotional well-being.
The event witnessed active participation from over 6,000 individuals, including parents, students, community leaders, and social activists. Interactive workshops, motivational speeches, and cultural activities further enhanced the program’s impact. The joint effort led to a significant number of children being brought back to the classroom, fostering a renewed sense of hope and commitment to education within the community.
Additionally, special attention was given to vulnerable families to provide them with alternative livelihood opportunities, ensuring they no longer depend on child labor for survival. This collaborative approach marked a significant step towards the complete elimination of child labor in Vijayapura district.

Collaboration Between the Department of Information and Public Relations and Saptagiri Foundation, Vijayapura
The Department of Information and Public Relations, in collaboration with Saptagiri Foundation, Vijayapura, organized numerous programs to raise awareness about various government schemes among rural communities. These initiatives utilized creative approaches such as folk art troupes and street plays to effectively convey messages to the masses.
In addition to raising awareness, these programs also focused on educating the public about health and hygiene, women’s empowerment, and sustainable development. Workshops were conducted to engage local communities, enabling them to actively participate in government schemes. The collaborative effort aimed to bridge the gap between urban policies and rural execution, ensuring inclusivity and equitable development.
Forest Department
In collaboration with the Forest Department, Saptagiri Foundation has taken significant strides in addressing the challenges of drought-prone and forest-deficient areas in Vijayapura district. Recognizing the critical need for afforestation, the foundation has actively engaged with the public and students in every village to promote tree planting initiatives.
One of the noteworthy achievements of this collaboration is the distribution of roadside saplings in six schools, fostering awareness among students about environmental conservation. This initiative has brought pride to the district, as Saptagiri Foundation has become a prominent name in championing green efforts.
Beyond tree planting, the foundation has encouraged communities to actively participate in various government-led programs aimed at environmental protection and sustainable development. Workshops, campaigns, and hands-on training sessions have been organized to educate citizens on the importance of preserving biodiversity, reducing soil erosion, and mitigating the effects of climate change.
To amplify its impact, Saptagiri Foundation has introduced a “Green Ambassadors” program, wherein school students take responsibility for nurturing the planted trees. Additionally, partnerships with local governing bodies have enabled the establishment of small nurseries in villages to ensure a continuous supply of saplings.
Through these sustained efforts, the foundation aims to transform Vijayapura into a greener, more sustainable region, inspiring neighboring districts to adopt similar models of environmental conservation.
National Health Mission
Details of activities undertaken under the joint auspices of Health and Family Welfare Department Vijayapura and Saptagiri Foundation Vijayapura.
About 1200 Asha workers were trained on health in all the taluks of Vijayapur district for 4 months at the compound of the Department of Health and Family Welfare and Saptagiri Foundation, Vijayapur.
Health and Family Welfare Department Vijayapura organized awareness programs in more than 50 selected villages about Mother and Child Health, Ayushman Bharat Health Karnataka, and Communicable Diseases on behalf of Saptagiri Foundation.
The program was successfully conducted with the participation of more than 20,000 public members and health department officials.
Women and Child Welfare
Under the joint aegis of the Department of Women and Child Development and Saptagiri Foundation, various government schemes were identified for women’s groups, and comprehensive information about them was provided. Additionally, Saptagiri Foundation has played a pivotal role in ensuring that all government initiatives aimed at creating awareness and promoting economic empowerment reach the people effectively and meaningfully.
The collaboration has not only raised awareness but also provided practical guidance on how women’s groups can benefit from these schemes. Training programs, workshops, and field visits were organized to empower women with knowledge and skills. Saptagiri Foundation’s proactive efforts in bridging the gap between policy implementation and grassroots reach have significantly contributed to the welfare and upliftment of women and children in the region.
