Sunil S. Kalasareddy (BA, MSW, DHI)
Founder & Chairman
Sunil S. Kalasareddy, the visionary Founder and Chairman of Saptagiri Foundation, is a seasoned social worker and health expert with a Master’s in Social Work (MSW) and a Diploma in Health Inspection (DHI). His commitment to public welfare has seen him lead numerous impactful initiatives across health, education, and environmental sectors. As Head of Leprosy and AIDS Training for the Health Department, he brought essential healthcare training to underserved communities. His dedication to educational advancement includes a six-month literacy program survey for schoolchildren in Vijayapur District, a project that fostered engagement and literacy among young learners. In the environmental sector, he directed road and street plantation initiatives as a team leader under the Forest Department, contributing to local reforestation efforts.
From 2019 to 2021, he worked as a consultant for the Life Social Awareness Welfare Society in Vijayapura, providing strategic guidance to further its social welfare objectives. Sunil also founded Shree Sai Saptagiri Souharda Bank, where he has served as Chairman for over four years, ensuring community-centered financial services. Additionally, he was appointed Taluk Coordinator for ESI-Eooja Istityechiniotis Chitija in Indi Taluk, demonstrating his leadership in healthcare management. Sunil’s extensive experience and deep community ties have been instrumental in shaping Saptagiri Foundation’s mission and impact.
Amruth M. Mavinahalli (MA, MSW)
Vice-Chairman
Amruth M. Mavinahalli, Vice-Chairman of Saptagiri Foundation, holds dual degrees in Arts and Social Work (MA, MSW) and has a profound background in social service and organizational leadership. Over a five-year tenure as District Coordinator for the Slum Board Office in Vijaypur, he led initiatives to uplift marginalized communities. In addition, he served as District Coordinator for ESI – Eooja Pvna Achithichithithi from 2018 to 2020, showcasing his expertise in social welfare coordination.
Amruth has held key positions, including Deputy Director and Program In-Charge at Saptagiri Foundation, as well as Director and Secretary at the Swami Vivekananda Rural Development Service. He is also the founding President of Life Social Awareness Welfare Society and currently convenes the Dalit Samata Sena, Bengaluru District Committee, Vijayapura Unit. As the Chief Trainer for the IEA Activities Consortium, commissioned by the Government of Karnataka, Amruth plays a pivotal role in capacity building, advocacy, and community engagement. His leadership continues to drive Saptagiri Foundation’s efforts toward inclusive development and social equity.
Mallikarjuna S. Kalasareddy (B.Com)
Secretary
Mallikarjuna S. Kalasareddy serves as the Secretary of Saptagiri Foundation, contributing his business acumen and extensive knowledge of Vijayapura’s cultural heritage. A B.Com graduate, Mallikarjuna has served as a guide for the Department of Antiquities and Heritage, showcasing the district’s historical landmarks to visitors. He also contributed to the Swachh Bharat Mission 2.0 as a consultant, where he worked with the Zilla Panchayat on local sanitation projects.
In health and social welfare, he has led taluk-level programs in fluorosis prevention, tobacco control, and child marriage prevention under the Health Department’s initiatives. Currently serving as Program Advisor, Mallikarjuna continues to advance Saptagiri Foundation’s projects with a focus on sustainable development and public health.
Shashikumar Bidari (BA)
Manager
Shashikumar Bidari, a graduate in Arts, brings his strong organizational skills and community focus to his role as Manager of Shri Sai Saptagiri Souhard Sahakari Niyamita, Sarawad, a position he has held for three years. His managerial expertise ensures smooth operations and productive client relations, aligning with the values of Saptagiri Foundation.
In addition to his managerial role, Shashikumar actively participates in the Foundation’s social initiatives. His effective communication and community engagement skills have allowed him to understand and address community needs, contributing to the success of various development projects. His involvement exemplifies Saptagiri Foundation’s dedication to community-centered solutions and empowerment.
Shivakumar Desai (BE)
Civil Engineering
Shivakumar Desai, a qualified Civil Engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, combines his technical expertise with a passion for social service at Saptagiri Foundation. His career in construction has spanned multiple roles, allowing him to manage complex infrastructure projects. Shivakumar is currently involved in the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) under the AP Group of Construction and Contractors, where he plays an active role in delivering clean drinking water solutions to communities.
Alongside his engineering work, Shivakumar is dedicated to community welfare through his efforts with Saptagiri Foundation, focusing on creating sustainable and impactful infrastructure for underserved areas. His dual role in engineering and social work reflects the Foundation’s mission to foster a better quality of life through practical and sustainable interventions.
